Take a look back at the career of 1997 champion Jacques Villeneuve, who retired this year.
Villeneuve had already retired from the sport once before, in 2003, when he left BAR before the end of the season. He returned for Renault and then drove for Sauber and BMW before leaving after the German Grand Prix this year.
Of course, no gallery of Villeneuve’s time is complete without a record of his three years at Williams. Sadly, due to a problem with our archive, we are unable to bring you those today.
