Marko Asmer will race in the British F3 championship round at Bucharest this weekend instead of the clashing race in the Japanese F3 series which he also participates in.
Asmer currently leads the British championship with 76 points and three wins from four races. In Japan he lies sixth with 22 points to leader Kazuya Oshima’s 68.
Asmer was originally planning to miss the Romanian round. But owing to his stronger position in the British series he will race on the Bucharest track instead of the Twin Ring Motegi.
He will face a second clash during the last weekend in August when the British series is at Thruxton and the Japanese championship is at Fuji Speedway. He expects to make a decision on that clash closer to the time.
