British F3 Snetterton 1: Breen leads Carlin podium

Niall Breen headed a Carlin 1-2-3 in the seventh round of the British F3 championship at Snetterton. Team mates Sam Bird and Alberto Valerio followed him home.

Bird leapt up the field with a magnificent start put pole sitter Atte Mustonen had a terrible getaway and was swamped by the field. He eventually retired with a broken clutch.

Championship leader Marko Asmer had a rare poor showing, retiring with a puncture after six laps. Leading rival Stephen Jelley finished fourth to edge closer to the Estonian in the championship.
