Timo Glock added to his championship lead by winning a thrilling sprint race at Monza.

He and feature race winner Giorgio Pantano made rapid progress through the field, passing Sebastien Buemi and Bruno Senna among others.

But Pantano clashed with leader Ricardo Risatti at the first chicane, spinning down the order. He then hit Buemi later in the race.

Glock took up the lead from Risatti, and Luca Filippi moved into second place after passing Buemi, Bruno Senna and Risatti. The latter later crashed out at the first corner.

Championship contender Lucas di Grassi made progress from his starting position of 13th, finishing fourth but losing another three points to the victorious Glock.
