For Xmas last year my girlfriend bought me a T shirt with an F1 Fanatic logo on it. I liked the style of it and soon, if there’s enough interest, you can get one too.
Here’s a few examples of the potential designs – please let me know what you think and whether you might be interested in buying one.
F1 Fanatic T-shirt design: logo
The first design idea is a simple one: a plain T-Shirt with the F1 Fanatic logo embroidered on the front.
F1 Fanatic T-shirt design: pit board
The first thing I should say about the second design is that I’ll only be able to produce them once I’m sure that I won’t be infringing any trademarks or copyrights in doing so. I’m looking into it at present, but if anyone has any information on it please do let me know.
The idea is to produce a series of pitboard designs illustrating memorable moments for different drivers. The design above shows Lewis Hamilton’s position at the end of the Brazilian Grand Prix, making him F1’s youngest ever world champion.
This idea could be applied to pretty much any driver, indicating a championship win, or race win, or home Grand Prix victory, or anything like that. Please suggest any designs you’d like to see below. These pit boards designs would be printed rather than embroidered and could go on the front or back of the shirt depending on what people prefer.
Alright, how much?
At the moment I’m looking at a price of less than 20 (??24 / $30) per shirt including delivery. That may come down depending on what versions I end up getting produced, and how many of them.
I’ve looked at several different suppliers and at the moment the one I like best is Zazzle. They also offer other types of merchandise such as mugs and mouse mats which I may branch out into.
Please share any ideas or feedback you have below. This is an entirely new venture for me and I’m feeling my way a little bit, so any advice or information you can share would be appreciated.

Man, are you kidding???
Who will wear a P5 t-shirt? :-) :-) :-)
The idea for the pit board is really good, but Ron Denis’ “genius” strategy spoiled it this year

One thing I’d like to see you bring back are the old FISA + FOCA = FIASCO T-shirts I recall hearing about once.Would be quite relevant I think still in this day and age with what’s happening at the FIA …
To be honest , I’d rather have a F1Fanatic mug or similar than a T-shirt but I really like the pit board design on the T-shirts as there’s loads of flexibility.

great idea Keith, i would definitley buy the Hamilton one, 2 points
– maybe you could get ppl to submit ideas somehow?
– you gota have a design saying ‘for sure’ , that seems to be the drivers fave response to any question!
also, i think the news service is good addition to the site, saves me having to go elsehwere for news,
keep it up!

Keith — You may want to think about doing two suppliers. One in Europe and one in North America. If we get items shipped from Europe then we have to pay duty on them at the border (usually). Also, shipping times would be reduced for us fans on this side of the pond.

Great idea. I’d for sure be a buyer…especially if you offered the designs in a polo shirt.

My list;
-a Kubica “I beat the Canadian track” t-shirt
-a Raikkonen champagne sippy straw,(so I don’t get it in my eyes)
-a Max Mosley leather paddle(with FIA logo)
-a Flavio speedo bathing suit
-and a Piquet “My dad raced in Formula 1 and all I got was this lousy t-shirt”….t-shirt.
Seriously though….sounds like a good idea Keith,I’d buy some stuff.

Looks good.
I’ll be up for a t-shirt or two, looking for some new clothes.
I’m loving Ted’s idea too.
One suggestion would be to have the F1Fanatic logo on the front & the pit board on the back as the pit board is a bit too big for a front design, for me anyway.
If costs weren’t too high it’s also giving you the ability to do smallish runs of different pit boards in the future without too much redesign work.
Maybe even have a forum topic where people could request their chosen board & if enough other people show interest in it then we could pre-order them so you’d have them sold before ordering them yourself.

Do some runs with medals on them, Keith. On the back, you should put “I’m with Mr.E”. :)
Seriously though, I’d buy one of the logo embroidered shirts (dunno about the white, though – I’ve got small kids!) and probably a coffee mug too, depending on prices of course. Great idea!

Gold !
I’d definitely be interested in some F1-fanatic merchandise. I don’t like most of the ‘official’ stuff, and I like the price of the official stuff even less.
But I’d like something F1 related to wear to the race.
I was going to get a one-off t-shirt made for this years race with
“I like it when Fernando is on TOP”
on it, but for some reason Mr Pink was not keen on that design…….
