Looked on course for another podium finish when he jumped up from sixth to third on the first lap. But even when his car was running well he was struggling to keep Nico Rosberg and Fernando Alonso behind.
Mercedes strategy got Rosberg ahead and Alonso put a move on Kubica too, who defended his position by forcing Alonso off the track. Kubica would have been given the position back had he stayed in the race much longer.
But a driveshaft failure condemned him to his first no-score since Bahrain.
Started well, slipstreaming past Nico Hulkenberg on the Hangar straight and then taking Sebastien Buemi into Club.
But he lost the place to Hulkenberg during the pit stops and was then passed by ttlink, dropping him out of the points. A puncture left him 13th at the chequered flag.
