  1. I’ll be on holiday on race day, does anyone know how can i watch the race in Greece? any local tv broadcasting it, or can i get other coverage on tv there?

    1. Yes, as far as I know, you can watch the race on the Greek channel Alpha TV, It’s a terrestial channel and should be free.

      1. I’m going to be in Kefalonia but for the Italian GP, so that’s good to know :)

      2. i’m going to southern cyprus during the italian gp. anyone know if I can watch qualy and race on tv?

        1. LTV covers quali and race and LTV Sports all free practices, but these are paid channels.

But you can try to find a free channel on satellite instead. For example Turkish TRT 1 which is Free To Air on Turksat 3A and broadcasts qualifying and races live.

    2. Yup, done it many times, though the commentary will be in Greek!

    3. awesome mates, thank you very much! :)

  2. Thanks for this as always – allows me to plan my weekeend!

Has anyone checked the weather i heard it was likely to rain?

    1. Says there might be showers on race day from where I looked but other than that, it looks as if it’s going to be dry. Wait till a couple of days before the weekend to check though because it could well change!

  3. If you’re in NZ:

    Practice 1 FRI 19:55
    Practice 2 FRI 23:55
    Practice 3 SAT 20:55
    Qualifying SAT 23:55
    Race SUN 23:55

Sky 3. Basically, very little in the way of commentary, just straight in to the BBC feed.

  4. The KMI (Royal Belgian Meteorological Institute) predicts 13-19 °C and a cloudy, dry day for Friday. That’s as far as their predictions go at the moment.

    1. So not too much hope of rain for the race? Although with Spa you never know.

      1. Well, that’s just the prediction for Friday. The west of Belgium seems to have a much higher chance at showers. By Wednesday, the predictions should go as far as Sunday.

The past few days though the weather in Belgium has been a mixture of sun, clouds and showers now and then. Kind of like the weather tends to be like at the GP in Spa really :)

  5. Anyone know if Karun Chandhok’s back in the BBC commentary box for practice? He’s always worth listening to.

  6. In the US of A, Speed will show this. In part. [And not in Canada].
    Practice 2: 8am Eastern, 5am Pacific.
    Qualifying: 8am Eastern, 5am Pacific.
(Both tape delayed a few minutes as usual I assume).

Race: 7:30am Eastern, 4:30am Pacific. (Live).

Frustratingly, ONE in Sydney will be showing the Swans playing Brisbane in the AFL instead of live qualifying,

so good news for the 8 people planning to watch that, bad news for us F1 pundits.

The race of course will be live at 10PM Sunday night in all its glory.

  8. Meh, I’m away racing in the British 24 Hour Kart race that weekend, I’ll record it.

On that note, our team is raising money for charity in this kart race, please head to http://24hrkartypeople.sytes.net/ and hit “Support Us!” to donate!
