Sakon Yamamoto
Spun early in Q2, causing a session stoppage when he hit the barrier after turn 16. Qualified ahead of his team mate.
He went off during the safety car period but stayed in front of Senna. Slipped behind him through the pit stops and ended the race there, although he was catching his tyre-troubled team mate towards the end.

Bruno Senna
Broken suspension in first practice provoked a high-speed spin and meant he missed much the second session.
Went straight on at the first corner when the race had its proper start. He came in for intermediate tyres soon after – on lap 19, around ten laps earlier than most drivers – and nursed them to the end.
Matched the team’s best finish of the year, 14th, which together with Yamamoto in 15th gave them their best overall result of the season so far.

After 17 races Senns finally achieves the same result Chandhok did twice in 6.
Interesting comment from Brundle that HRT seem like they’re a team that isn’t going anywhere. Personally I hope they’re bought out, the name of Kolles hasn’t exactly been a good luck charm to an F1 team.

But, it’s not like Chandhok raced the car to 14th those times, he just happened to be running still at the end when people in front had messed up (much like Senna’s result this weekend). Senna had mechanical failures on each of those 14th places Chandhok got as well.
I really don’t think you can use these race positions against either driver as it’s mainly pure chance. :P

they really are struggling.
they are going no where, as you said.
the fact they used the same set of wings at both Singapore and Monza says it all.
I really doubt they’ll make it to Bahrain next year. It’s just a miracle they are still going.

I think part of that is that when you’re running that far behind there are fewer other cars to get tangled up with. Virgin is up there fighting hard with Lotus and having problems as a result. HRT just keep lapping the circuit at the back, like the tortoise.

The funniest part of that is at the end where he says that the fact that Webber is (was at the time of the interview presumably) leading the championship is indication that being in the right car at the right time is everything. Apparently Klien doesn’t think much of Webber as a driver.
