Timo Glock
Not able to offer a challenge to the Lotuses in qualifying, Glock lined up 21st. He stayed on Jarno Trulli’s tail throughout the race until the Lotus driver pitted with a broken front wing.
He wasn’t able to reduce the gap to Heikki Kovalainen after that and on lap 44 his gearbox gave up:
In the end, unfortunately the gearbox got too hot and failed in the closing stages of the race, so it was disappointing but I still had a good pace and that is a reflection of how much we have developed the car over the year.

Lucas di Grassi
Unlike his team mate, di Grassi changed tyres during the safety car period on lap one. But he struggled to keep up with Glock:
We decided to go for the pit stop straight away in order to change to the Prime tyres. We had to do more than 50 laps with the same set of tyres, which seemed like a difficult task, but we managed it.
I am ending the year with a feeling of ?óÔé¼?£mission accomplished?óÔé¼Ôäó – I did the best I could with what I had and only one or two mistakes during the whole season, so I feel that the effort and quality of my work have been much better than is reflected in the raw results.

Let’s just hope it is not mission accomplished for good with this team and F1 Lucas!.
Another gearbox failure, I just hope X-track has very solid insurance for delivering bad products.

Oh, look. A gearbox failure. Again.
I hope Marussia know what they’re getting themselves into.

I think Virgin must have something up their sleeves otherwise they will be the only team running with those awful xtrac gearboxes. Surely they must have a contract somewhere
