Virgin will have their 2011 F1 car ready for the second test of the year.

The MVR-02 will be launched in London on February 7th ahead of the Jerez test.

The change of model designation reflects the arrival of investor Marussia which was announced last year.

    1. Weren’t they going to launch in Moscow? Back then they first bought in, Marussia were talking about a Moscow launch.

I’d say that looks fairly conclusive of Marussia’s seriousness – I expect the Marussia name will be used in the constructor name from 2012, if they haven’t already applied to change the name for 2011.

      1. I also expected that. Maybe Marussia is not that much involved, or they had problems with the logistics of a Moscow presentation.

    2. Days away to see all the machine of 2011 just can’t wait.

    3. Brawn won wcc and wdc in an interim livery yet we don’t even get a photo shoot? :D

Don’t suppose anyones invited you to a launch yet Keith? Would love to see some F1F boots on the ground this year :)

    4. how big is the fuel tank?

      1. LOL. Well… I guess the fuel tank region is still under construction. A few races into the season and that area will have to be worked on again.

      2. I love how these stigma’s get stuck to these teams, new and old.

        Good one BROOKSY2007

Any Idea’s of where in London its being launched?, I might pop down there and smooth talk my way in with a Jerry can for Glock.

    5. Is the MVR-02 an all CFD racer again or have they used awind tunnel.
