i’m hoping Lewis puts in some quick laps, it will be nice to confirm that the car is fast. Hopefully Mercedes GP can show some pace too.

Williams are not looking so good today, maybe when Rubens is in the car we will get clearer picture. But looks like Mercedes is on pace.

That would be really fast running/cycling there, with Jeson driving the car, he would have to do it on foot or on a bicycle :-p

How funny would it be to see him on a bike as the cars fly by him, peddling like mad :)

Pole position on the post!
Looking at last year’s test timings, they were not indicative of the pecking order at all. Guess I shouldn’t be looking at these test times that seriously.

It does look out of place, doesn’t it?

I think that in everyday speech it will be referred to as the “Italia”.
Which is a lovely name for a Ferrari.
Alex Bkk (@alex-bkk)
11th February 2011, 10:51
Then again, the F Italia 150 would have been a nice name too.
and then tell Ford to “Suck outta my airbox”

This is the first time I’ve seen a satellite image of the Jerez track. What is the circuit to the north-west of the main track, a karting track?
wasiF1 (@wasif1)
11th February 2011, 9:15
Well said it seems to have very much the same configuration as the original track.

11th February 2011, 13:41
My browser denied access to the image to prevent “cross-site scripting”. I had to open up the source code so that I could navigate directly to the satellite image. This is only the second time in a row that I have received this message on F1F articles with satellite images. I have Internet Explorer 9.0.7930.16406 IC.
And yes, it is a terrific image of the track.

What was the fastest time in Jeraz test last year?

You see in the article where it says “2010 best times”? Those were the best times set in 2010.
BasCB (@bascb)
11th February 2011, 9:52
No really? I thought those were the best times set last year! ;o

Schumacher’s flying.
Daniel
11th February 2011, 13:17
I’m sure that’s not allowed. He has to pilot a car and not a plane. Geez, the season hasn’t even started and Schumi is already causing controversy.
BasCB (@bascb)
11th February 2011, 10:29
Looks like Schumi is back on form. Very consistent runs, but it seems the Ferrari is kinder on its tyres, or just Massa not being as consistent.
McLarenFanJamm
11th February 2011, 12:50
Not really. He’s done a few ten lap runs today and the first lap has generally been quick but his times tail off quite dramatically.
Think on one run he went from a 1:21 to mid 1:25s
BasCB (@bascb)
11th February 2011, 13:07
Suppose that’s the tyres going off after about 10-12 laps in. Nothing Schumi can really help.
MondoL
11th February 2011, 12:40
Looking at petrov times and spins, I think he needs help from heidfield or from whoever. A leading role is too wide for him as of now.
