Readers in Britain should remember that at 1am on Sunday 27th March Britain moves from Greenwich Mean Time to British Summer Time, meaning the clocks go forward one hour. Set your alarms with care!

if you go to bbc.co.uk/f1 just before the session starts, there will be a link to watch live (all sessions and the forum) .it is in SD quality but probably only available for UK viewers.
FP 1 & 2 qually, race and forum will also be on the Iplayer shortly after they air

Yeah they do stream it to the BBC iPlayer, I normally watch the build up on the web and the race on a big TV.

No, it is correct. Like the article states, the clock will skip from 1am GMT to 2am BST.
(Here in Germany the clock will skip from 2am CET to 3am CEST.)

But it does open up a raft of questions about how things would work if something was scheduled in between 1:00 and 2:00 on the 27th

if you’re concerned about the clocks not going forward automatically, set your alarm clock to the TV program time rather than the race time. That way you’ll defo see the beginning of the race!

And, of course, if you use your iPhone alarm to wake you up (as I do), don’t try and outsmart it by setting it forward an hour before you go to bed, like I did once. It knows the clocks go forward, and will roll over from 1am to 2am on its own.

I presume my Sky+ HD box will pick on the time change on Sunday and record the start of the race for me?

If anybody is interested in viewing the qualifying/race (not sure about free practice) in the middle east, AbuDhabi Sports are broadcasting them live.

They confirmed on twitter that FP1, 2 & 3 will be broadcast in SD. But the picture should be a little better than last year as they receive the feed in HD.

For anyone confused, all the times on Sunday morning are BST, i.e. an hour forward of normal. So if you don’t set your clocks forward, you’ll be an hour late!

SPEED will be streaming FP1 and FP3 lve online, presumably with no commentary as they did last year. I tweeted the associate producer, who didn’t think the feed would be full HD but said it would definitely look better than last year.

I’ve taken tomorrow off and I plan to watch FP1 live on BBC then have a bit of a sleep and catch FP2 on the iplayer at a more civilised hour. I won’t be bothering with FP3 as it’s just too late to do that and get up for Quali which I absolutely want to see live… I hate watching the bits that ‘really’ matter back later when it’s already happened!

If you’re in the UK and watching it on BBC then as both the race and qualifying are on BBC1 (in standard definition) they will also be on BBC1 HD in High Def at the same time
The free practice sessions won’t be shown in HD but (and the same goes for the SD version of BBC1) you might see a better quality picture as it be captured in HD
