Tyres

Pirelli have brought the hardest tyre in their range, the hard tyre, for this race. The tyre can be identified by the silver colouring on the sidewalls. As usual, the soft tyre will also be available, with its yellow colouring.

In Friday practice the teams will have an extra set of soft tyres plus a further set of development tyres for next year.

The track

The Buddh International Circuit is holding its first ever F1 race.

The track, designed by Hermann Tilke, is 5.137km (3.192 miles) long and includes a mixture of long straights with slow corners, and some faster bends later in the lap.

  1. So, lots of good info. I’ll be at the track with my race scanner. Any idea of frequencies for the teams or for the BBC radio broadcast? Any info on local FM station broadcasting race?

    1. If you have access to digital radio you can always find BBC radio on there and plenty of others i’m sure.

  2. There are words that Star Sports in India will show all the session live but FP1, is it true?
