Fans’ videos from the Italian Grand Prix weekend captured F1 cars in action at the fastest track on the calendar – and Jean Eric Vergne’s slip-up during qualifying.
Ferrari army
Ferrari supporters head to the track.
Top speed
This is the fastest place to watch on the F1 calendar – the straight leading into the Rettifilio chicane, where Daniel Ricciardo was clocked at 340kph during the race weekend. It gives a spectacular view of how quickly the cars go – and how rapidly they decelerate!
Vergne goes off
Jean-Eric Vergne runs wide at Parabolica at the end of Q3.
The start
The Red Bulls get away well at the start as the Ferraris pounce on Hulkenberg.
Battle at Marussia
The field filter through the first chicane with the two Marussias bringing up the rear and fighting each other hard for position.
Red Bull’s stacked pit stops
Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber were 11 seconds apart when they made their pit stops together on lap 24 and rejoined the track the same distance apart after two perfectly-drilled Red Bull pit stops.
Podium
Vettel drove well all weekend and scored a fine win yet sadly, and not for the first time this year, many in the crowd booed him.

The Italians really love Alonso. I cant remember the last time I saw them so supportive of a driver. I remember they liked Shumi, but never like that.

I love the Italian fans in that video, I must admit :’)
That practice video going into Rettifilio I think brilliantly shows just how much better a Red Bull is on the brakes than a Caterham: the speed they can carry into the braking zone and through the corner is immense!

Did I hear that right, the crowd were booeing Mark Webber? Maybe, just maybe, it wasn’t multi 21 afterall…

If it isn’t red, it gets booed!

If they’d be booing Vettel for Multi21, they’d probably boo Webber for not obeying ‘maintain the gap’ at the Silverstone 2011.

The videos “Top Speed”, “Battle of Marussia”, and “Red Bull’s Stacked Pit Stops ” are incredible. This is as close as I can get to Monza this year, and I’m so glad that there exists a site as fine as F1fanatic. Great job folks!

Monza is the worst track to watch F1. You pay 400 euros to watch the cars at 300 kmh on a straight. And you have a bad view.

I have no idea why, but I always laugh when i see the medical car chasing the cars at the start
