  1. Wow! this guy really can’t catch a break!

So that means that now he won’t start on the first line of the grid? :P

  3. Fair enough. I see no way around that, it’s expressly forbidden.

  4. @keithcollantine – This has to be the shortest article in the history of F1 Fanatic! :P

    1. 41 words long – now that’s short!

  5. What a silly thing to get penalised for. Not as if red flag rules are in some way new or complicated.

    1. Oh well, mistakes happen

  6. Is red flag situation require the drivers to slow down significantly? if not, then I can see a situation where the car in front slow down significantly and the driver behind thinks that the car in front is having some kind of problem thus pass it.

    1. Yes, a red flag situation requires all drivers to drive slowly to the pit lane, being prepared to stop on track if necessary.
However, it is worth noting that the FIA have also insisted on the teams installing a warning light system on the steering wheel to alert drivers about the different flag situations, which will light up in red, blue or yellow accordingly as soon as the race director orders one of those flags to be shown.
