So, take that. Rosberg beat Hamilton fair and square on one of Lewis’s preferred tracks. Stunning!

Also, very happy for Vettel for managing to take finally one over Ricciardo. Two talented guys, who deserve fighting for WDC.

I don’t know about “finally”. On the rare occasions when his power unit works properly in qualifying (I count only three in the first seven GP’s) Vettel has the edge on Ricciardo.

It’s not his power unit, it’s his ability as a driver that’s lacking, let’s see what excuses he uses this time!

@osvaldas31 Yes, shame for Hamilton he locked up on his final lap, but 0.079 is a very small margin. As the old adage goes though.. you don’t get any points on Saturday. The race is what matters, and Montreal lends itself to a hell of a lot of overtakes, so the race for pole should be epic!

Race is a different proposition, I understand. But this is ‘Hamilton’s’ track and to have beaten him here will be a massive shot in the arm for Rosberg.
Momentum’s the word.

@timi
They may not get points on Saturday but they will get a trophy for Pole.

Awesome grid! We should have one hell of a race tomorrow, especially since overtaking isn’t too hard on the circuit de Gilles. I can’t wait! Still think Hamilton will tear Rosberg a new one in the race..

Red Bull and Williams are so close today it’s unbelievable.

Great driving by two Germans there. I dint expected both of them to beat their respective teammates. Well done Rosberg and Vettel.

Hope Vettel will have a reliable car this time round and hopefully see what can he do with Mercedes engine powered cars all around him.

The only no1 Vettel will ever see again is the number 1 on his car!
He was just lucky to have the best car for these few years………Put probably 4 or 5 top drivers in the same car and the result would have been the same….

Well, I wasn’t expecting that.

I REALLY didn’t expect that. The race should be great!

Great freakin new floor for Ferrari.
Also Alonso just said they’re expecting to lose more power tomorrow.

I just really hope that DRS isn’t as overpowered here as it has been in the past because I want to see some good, close & competitive racing.
If I see too many easy DRS highway passes Im turning it off im afraid.
I also hope we don’t see any of this utter nonsense that we saw a year ago with drivers backing off to be behind for drs-

Always more interesting to have Lewis fighting for the lead from behind another fast car. Tomorrow, we get to know whether Nico really is a racer or not. Fingers crossed no incidents, just RACING.
Can’t wait!

Lewis made the mistake in sector 2 and now he’s going to be fighting Nico for the race lead….and a great mix behind them on the grid! This could be a brilliant race!!! Let’s hope for the race to be as good as qualifying :)

I predict it’s gonna be Merc, Williams, Merc, Williams, RedBull in the first and second corner
DaveD (@daved)

Oh wow….I forgot about Massa being up in the front rows…he could be leading the race by the end of the second corner! :)

0.04 betwenn P3 and P6 on the grid, the well-starting Alonso with his consistent race-pace on P7, Hulk on P11 with free tyre-choice (am I wrong if I read the practice-sessions in a way that this could really help this weekend?)… could be exciting tommorrow.
Don´t really care about the Mercs and in whichever order they arrive, though.
