Interestingly, losing the front wing end-plate section didn’t seem to hinder Sainz Jr’s pace at all.

Nasr seemed to drive well, but what is the benchmark for phenomenal here? A pay driver on debut beat a bunch of other pay drivers and drivers in cars that are simply sub standard.
This to me is the real problem with current F1. Not only is it visually and audibly boring, the lack of depth in the field means that it is hard to contextualize Nasr’s performance.
Honestly, how do I know it was phenomenal? Maybe it was just average and everyone else just sucked.

I still can’t quite make out if the details on the Mclaren are red or q very bright orange… they looked red on the studio photos, but under natural lighting they seem to reference their original racing colors, which would be quite cool in my book!

The same can be said for the whole Ferrari car.

From the thumbnail of the Sauber photo top right I thought that was two of the drivers at the back fighting over who gets the car. :p

Totally loving Hamilton’s look after winning, the sunglasses and the giant gold chain, there’s not enough “gangsta” in F1, I’ve always said it.
@keithcollantine do you think it would be possible to get a collection of “in-pit” pictures? Like today’s Button. They make for amazing scenes. Thanks again for collecting pictures of the GPs

I’ll see what I can do for future galleries, thanks for the suggestion.

I think Hamilton has been hanging out with American rappers too much, watch him release an album during the August shutdown.
