Episode three of Motorsport Extra, the new podcast from myself and Ben Evans, is now available.

In this week’s episode we review an eventful Canadian Grand Prix, look ahead to F1’s first race in Azerbaijan and discuss the recent major news stories including the Heineken deal and a what could be a significant development for the future of the sport.

Plus with the Le Mans 24 Hours coming up this weekend we cover the major storylines ahead of one of the biggest races of the year. And we recap a busy few weeks in IndyCar including the rain-delayed round at Texas Motor Speedway last week.

We also tackle the first of our listeners’ questions on the subject of whether F1 is trying too hard to become popular. And at point we veered off on a tangent about obscure German street tracks.
