  1. Looks like Ferrari was allocated number 99 for their test/reserve-drivers.

99 was used by Adrian Sutil during the 2014 season and became available for 2017 since he didn’t start a race in 2015 or 2016.

    1. Looks like McLaren still has 47 for their test/reserve drivers. I didn’t see a number on either the Toro Rosso or the Force India.

      1. Celis’ Force India has number 34 on it. It’s difficult to spot as all the pictures of Celis are from a low angle. But on this: one, you can just see it on the beginning of the horizontal part of the nose.

  2. Galeal and Celis should be nowhere near an F1 car.

    1. Why not? Don’t they have a Superlicence?

      1. I have been waiting for someone to explain why Galeal and Celis shouldn’t be allowed to drive an F1 car at a designated test session, but no one has an answer. I can only conclude there isn’t any reason a team shouldn’t utilise the services of these drivers.
My congratulations to those drivers for getting the chance to drive an F1 car and I hope they get a seat in the future.

      2. Nope, they can test but not race, Galeal is nowhere near the s-license

  3. Great opportunity for Turvey… not so good for Button. I’m sure Jense will be fine though, at this rate there’s a fair chance his car might not even make it to the grid in Monaco anyway!

    1. Great opportunity to look at the scenery? I don’t suppose you mean, drive the car, because he’s only done 2 installation laps all day.

  4. Wow.. a action picture of a McLaren… that’s something special nowadays..
It’s getting worse by the day it seems.
