  1. Nice shots showing the detail of the SAFER barriers. I’m guessing that’s the outside of turn 5, ie. the spot where Panis had his accident in 97?

So nice to see they are using the safer walls and not those dumb plastic ones which to me seem dangerous bc if you submarining under them or poking a hole in them or lastly trapping the car in barriers that are wrapped around the car. I’m amazed more f1 tracks don’t use them. Got to thank Indy Car for those because they invented them

I would almost argue if F1 would make it standered that all walls are the safer barriers that we could get rid of some of these crazy runoff areas and get back to more old school racing where leaving the track is a penalty to the driver. I’m not saying I want it more dangerous it we could goto having the track edges being grass and not half a football field of runoff. Just my dream tho

  5. Keith; Max bailing water has to be a Caption Competition…:)

  6. I like the first main picture. No need for Merc to worry about heating up the tires anymore. They now use a hovercraft.

  7. I like that picture of the Ferrari mechanics sitting in the shade next to their car, has an old-school vibe.
