  1. Diva was on a good mood today :) did MERC run the old or new aero package?

    1. I believe they ran the new spec: both cars.

  2. Bottas starts sixth, and Raikkonen tenth

  3. I think BOT penalty will be applied before RAI’s, so BOT will be in 6th

    1. It’s good to see Merc giving Bottas again a 100% car now that he’s no threat to Lewis)

      1. @tore

        What are you talking about?

  4. Refreshing to see Daniel start ahead of Max. Hope both the Red Bulls overtake Ham and Seb in the first lap. Extremely tough for both of them to overtake RBR. Especially if Max is second.
Sainz and Alonso starting behind Palmer; Kevin starting right behind Hulkenberg…should be fun to watch.

  5. It will be interesting to see the difference between the Red Bull tomorrow. Max has more downforce than RIC. So they will run a totally different setup

Too bad Max 1st Q3 run didn’t work out because of a front wing change that didn’t work. Let’s see if he can overtake one or more at the start

That pole lap of Lewis was stunning… wow

  6. I think Hamiltons goal will be to finish in front of Vettel. It’s going to be an interesting start, how far will Vettal push Hamilton. I’m wondering if Hamilton will not risk a first lap incident and use the Mercs extra performance to take Vettel later.

    1. This race and championship is Hamilton’s to lose. Mercedes has got the single lap and straight line speed advantage. The only way I see Hamilton lose is a bad start that sees him fall behind the Red Bulls but the Mercs are also fastest off the line so.

Even if Vettel gets ahead at the start Hamilton will cruise by on the straight later on. Only the Bulls will be troublesome to pass with their superior traction out of the last corner and their aggressive defense.

    2. That would be the sensible thing to do. Also even though Bottas is starting further back he could come into play to muck up Ferrari’s strategy.

    3. Hamilton’ starts have been better over recent races. Always possible he has a bad start, but I’d say there’s more chance of Vettel getting caught out off the grid by Verstappen and Ricciardo, which would be ‘interesting’.

    4. If anyone has to be cautious it is gotta to be vettel .. a non finish for both ham and vettel suits Hamilton

  7. Is fifth on the grid Esteban Ocon’s best starting position?

    1. He qualified 5th in Monza but that became 3rd after penalties for the RedBulls. @nickwyatt
