Unlikely to see a lot of overtaking around here. The straights are short but the first corner is wide so that’s probably the only real spot to overtake.
I know certain kind of fans get excited whenever we talk about bringing back a ‘historically significant’ track. But while I think this would probably brilliant to race in the 90’s and early 2000’s cars, it would end up being a processions with this need massive heavy cars.
The track is very technical, narrow, lacking long straights.
I’m all for getting a race in Africa asap. But Kyalami doesn’t excite me at all.
