  1. That Alfa Romeo behind looks glorious in all its pictures! Amazing what some vintage lettering can do…

Doesn’t it? I’m getting flashbacks to the Brabham-Alfas. But is anyone else already confusing it with the Williams from other angles?

  2. I really like the Renault paint job, how it looks almost exclusively yellow from the front with some black lines and the opposite when look at from the side. Cleverly done.

Glad to see more diversity in the liveries in general.
I am already disappointed about TV commentary which will focus on the halo for the first races while I already accepted it. Not the best looking thing to add to a F1 car but far easier to accept than the platypus noses (and better reason to introduce it as well). Hopefully, the commentators will give their opinion once and for all at the beginning of the season and then leave it be but I fear it won’t be…

Well, the reason for the halo and the noses are pretty similar. Both safety driven. The only difference is the teams have no scopes to make the halo’s look worse.

  3. I will be the first and say the halo is growing on me. The ferrari top picture looks cool. It is like the halo increases my perception of the size of the car. It makes the car look a lot bigger to me. This years cars look massive and the driver especially in the top Ferrari pic looks tiny, I like that a lot. And in the other pictures it looks kind of like angel wings from a certain angle, keeping the driver safe. I think they halo could evolve into something everyone can agree looks cool given enough time.

  4. Snow day in Catalunya, the kids gets to stay home for a day.

  5. Caption for the Gasly pic: no words, just a loud ripping sound.

    1. Silent but deadly type.

  6. I didn’t realize before now that McLaren had trialled fairings on the halo.
