  1. Stroll’s fault.

    1. Pretty self evident.

    2. I think he had a puncture that caused him to snap out. Would have to analyse the start replays to see how Stroll got the puncture. Hartley not to blame at all

  2. Luckily Max didn’t overtake Bottas in the last lap. Otherwise he stupid mistake of that model with the checkered flag would have been disastrous

If I’d be a preacher in the church of McLaren, I’d say I was losing my religion. Oh boy. Beyond comprehension.

  4. Great drive by Vettel to win the race. Bottas was good in patches but faded towards the end. Mad Max did well to challenge the Finn but nothing came out of it.

  5. Man what a boring race. The third snooze fest in a row.
We need more Safety Cars asap.

    1. Is it any wonder, when you have drivers ‘managing their engines’ a third of the way into the season,
ever mindful of encuring penalties for exceeding their engine quotas.

Also there’s something in what Christian, the head of Red Bull said, the tires are just too good,
meaning they can all do one stops, ruling out another stategic element from the race.

  6. Did anyone see that slow mo of Hamilton’s deformed rear tires in the latter stages of the race?
The Sky comentators said it was clearly under pressure. Is it any wonder Hamilton is struggling
    with the setup.

I feel sorry for the poor chap is left doubting his abilities, as his team mate romps home to another 2nd place.
    What are Mercedes playing ?

    1. The Sky comentators said it was clearly under pressure.

They didn’t say that. They just remarked that they’re obviously run with low pressure. And no, that’s not a bad thing. Pirelli have been mandating minimum pressures for quite some time now, and everyone tries to stay as close as possible to that minimum, as that’s where the tyres offer the greatest contact patch with the surface of the track.
Hamilton’s troubles with rear grip didn’t happen because of low tyre pressures but despite them.
And the Sky commentators’ remark was by no means performance-related – it just referred to the fact that the tyre oscillation that became visible when Hamilton oversteered in the hairpin wouldn’t have been possible with higher tyre pressures.
No need to search for a conspiracy, there is none.
