Charles Leclerc
Rain arrived on Saturday but cleared up in time for qualifying, where Charles Leclerc starred by putting his Sauber eighth on the grid.
Aseel Al Hama
Saudi Arabian Motorsport Federation board member Aseel Al-Hamad, who is also a member of the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission, took the opportunity to drive a 2012-spec F1 car provided by Renault on the morning of the race. The demonstration run coincided with legislation changes in Saudi Arabia which has lifted the ban on women driving.

Vettel clattered into Valtteri Bottas at turn one, leaving the Mercedes with a punctured tyre and bodywork damage which ruined his race.
