  1. Bottas needs to avoid these type of in-race slumps next season if he’s to have a realistic chance to keep his drive at Mercedes for 2020 or beyond.

    1. Fragile personality – needs to feel more love from the team.

  2. Grosjean has to be a strong candidate now for Driver of the Year? :-)

  3. Terrible end to Bottas’ season. I’ve been complimentary so far this season despite his lack of wins because he genuinely should’ve had a few on merit, but this performance was pretty poor. He really needs to get it together next year or Ocon will be in his car. Typical bad radio manners from Alonso & Verstappen… has Christian Horner ever had the respect of any of his drivers? Seems like they’ve all known that despite what his title says, he’s not the final word. That exchange was pretty pathetic, IMO. And Vettel really should have been pushing Lewis harder than that if he could just reel off the fastest lap at will… if for no other reason than to announce his intentions for next season loud and clear…

…And now my watch has ended…

    1. Aldoid – “And Vettel really should have been pushing Lewis harder than that if he could just reel off the fastest lap at will… if for no other reason than to announce his intentions for next season loud and clear…” – two Ferrari engine shut downs, perhaps Vettel was worried his might be the third; so he only cut loose in sight of the flag?

      1. I had completely forgotten about that, TBH. Makes sense.
