The 2018 season saw Max Verstappen’s controversial Brazil Grand Prix clash with Esteban Ocon, Marcus Ericsson’s high-speed barrel roll at Monza and his team mate’s near-miss at Spa.
It was also the year of the fastest ever generation of F1 cars – which broke the record for the fastest ever lap of a grand prix track – and some spectacular wheel-to-wheel racing.
Here’s a selection of pictures revealing some of the best action from 2018:

Can someone please tell me why on Kimi’s car at Bahrain it has what looks like SS or US on the front but clearly has the yellow softs on the rear tires? Are you able to race with two separate compounds on? Very intrigued by this and wonder why it’s not utilized more if so.
In that picture he is retiring as a result of the wheel not having been changed and him hitting the mechanic when he was incorrectly given the green light.

The image where the marshal is running with the 50-meter board, though, I wonder which on-track incident lead to that happening, LOL.

I, of course, meant to type ‘led,’ but apparently managed to type it in its present-tense form without noticing it.
