Renault’s latest Formula 1 car has appeared for the first time in pre-season testing.

The team presented a 2018 car with 2019-specification wings at its launch event last week. The new RS19 has already run in a filming day last weekend.

New driver Daniel Ricciardo and team mate Nico Hulkenberg are due to drive the car in today’s test.

  1. Looks great- like last year I think that, the Ferrari and Red Bull look the best.

  2. so sexy… Danny Ric must have a semi boner

  3. I really like the look of the Renault this year.

I hope that it’s as good as it looks.

  4. Compared to other cars, the front wing looks like it’s not maximising downforce levels (the individual flaps seems to be compressed together) which might have to do with not getting enough downforce at the rear (so it would result in an unbalanced car). Hopefully that’s not case, but if I’m right Renault would suffer on slow and medium speed cornering and it could prove to be unstable under breaking (something that would very bad for Ricciardo’s signature moves).

Hopefully I’m wrong, but if I’m right Renault could find itself at the tail-end of a very compact midfield.

    1. Do you hold a fully understand or hold degree in aerodynamics?

To use your words Mercedes, Ferrari & RBR are more “compressed” together. Based on your train of thought does that mean they all have rear downforce problems?
