   What happened to Mercedes? Less sandbagging? Talk of being more capable than the Ferrari?

   I’m confused. Will Red Bull sweep Monaco?

      Probably had the engine turned down. There’s no need to put in fast lap times during an in-season test.

         @todfod I assumed that in testing they are not using their engine allocation – especially for a team like mercedes, they could easily produce some spare engines to use in testing. this would seem fair, especially for the teams running on the prototype pirellis.

      Well considering he went 1/10th quicker with 2 x harder tires for his pole lap I’d say he’s not going as fast as he could.

      Although neither was Leclerc as Vettel was faster in qualy in the race, so they weren’t pushing either.

      Maybe, but that would depend on Red Bull, Toto is taking the ship on a conservative course.

   Concerning that Renault seems to have only turned about 1/2 the laps that the others did.

   Hopefully it was because there was a lot of items to test and they all took time to add and set up and not a reliability issue.

   I like the diversity of the headlines you use buddy!

   This could easily have been “Bottas almost half second-and-a-one millisecond ahead” after Spanish GP qualifying.
   But instead we saw “Bottas denies Hamilton…”…LOL. Totally out of reality.

   I know that “clicks” is what make this blog stay alive, but shouldn’t you consider to be more balanced?
   And don’t get me wrong, “.co.uk” extension was more of a local british thing, now there is no excuse…

      If the titles offend you that much, you know what your options are.

         It’s just an observation which probably came strong for you.
         I am entitled to an opinion, you have the right to disagree.
         Let’s move on.

         I know buddy. Let me explain my way of thinking. Let’s say that in Monaco qualifying Leclerc is faster than Vettel. There are two ways to write a headline. “Vettel slower than Leclerc” and “Leclerc faster than Vettel”. Both describe the exact same thing. But don’t you think that the use of the first one is unfair to Leclerc? Why should someone use the first one when the second is the one which is accurate, literal and totally fair for both of them?
         That’s the idea behind my post above.

      Titles of articles and reports are meant to draw attention. I think this one does justice in every sense–conveys how big Bottas’ and thus Merc’s advantage is over the field and that happens to be the reality. There were 13 drivers who posted times including one factory team (Renault) which did only 50% of the laps that Latifi in a Williams did; there is a lot more information in that table–i think we can discuss about that rather than the headline which isn’t misleading to be fair.

   Kinda sad, this season is pretty much over. It looked so promising it might be competitive, just a matter of Bottas or Hamilton. zzzzzzzz
