Lando Norris suffered a minor injury to his left foot during the summer break, his team have confirmed.
The McLaren driver was seen wearing a foot brace on a live video stream. A McLaren spokesperson told RaceFans it is a “precautionary” measure.“It looks way more dramatic than it is,” they added.
“He mildly inflamed a tendon in his left foot while out running while he was on holiday. If it was anyone else they wouldn’t be wearing a boot. It’s belt and braces for a couple of days to isolate it while it recovers.”
McLaren does not expect to need a substitute for the 18-year-old. It has an arrangement with Renault to call on the services of its test driver Sergey Sirotkin in the event a replacement is needed.
The Formula 1 season resumes this weekend at Spa-Francorchamps.

He was at the Silverstone GP yesterday and it didnt seem like his injury was serious so hopefully most of it has healed.

Don’t encourage them. It is already bad enough around here as it is.

It’s OK. It’s his right foot he needs to push on the gas, not his left.
