  1. Had the Mclaren not stopped it could have been a great boost to WCC for them.

    1. They are probably helped by the fact that Renault didn’t make much inroads into their points lead, though.

  2. Nearest Ferrari almost 4 race wins + Hamilton DNFs behind Hamilton, 8 races left. They may have left their surge a bit late :oP
Not good for Red Bull’s team tally. Albon did a decent job pushing through the field, but that was supposed to be with Max competing upfront.

@david-br Additionally, Hamilton can m afford to finish 2nd in all remaining races – regardless of who gets fastest lap – and still win the WDC.

      1. @ninjenius Yes, Ferrari would probably need to dominate all the remaining races and have Red Bull (Verstappen) competing for third in the others to have a chance. Bottas seems resigned to second place behind Hamilton too. Still, we could have some great races ahead with all three teams close – including maybe Albon.

@ninjenius – very nice stat, goes to show he pretty much has this title in the bag. Good on him and Merc, that ferocious start to the season set them up very nicely.

      3. Were Vettel and Leclerc to finish one and two in the remaining races, Hamilton could even afford to come third the last 8 races.

  3. I want to see red bull over take Ferrari in the constructors; maybe that will even out the prize money in 2021?
