  1. Just think now how much Perez benefited from that checkered flag mistake!

    1. 4 points for binning your car on the last lap, bargain.

  2. Brings Ferrari 2 points closer to Mercedes albeit still 177 behind with a 176 available. Imagine if it had been a slightly bigger swing of points then all of Mercedes’ celebrations would have been slightly premature!

  3. Luckily it doesn’t affect the predictions championship. Probably factored into the decision, frankly.

  4. Cheat all season and get Disqualified for only a race?… Doesn’t seem very fair for the other teams..

  5. I bet if it were McLaren, they would have disqualified, fined and baned for five years, but ja….

    1. Only if Ron was still the boss of McLaren and Max Mosley was at the helm of the FIA…

  6. Poor Hulkenberg – he’s out of F1 so early that he’s not even shown under “Not classified” in the race results.

  7. The strange thing is that all of lec. penalty’s are going to waste like this. so in the end he is benefitting the most out of this.

  8. hmmm…..there is something missing here…..Oh I know what it is, it is the outrage that would have broken the internet if it were Ferrari caught with such a system.

    1. Relax, if there is nothing to catch Ferrari for, there will always be outrage about why they could’t catch them just for something.

    2. @asanator outrage that would have been drowned out 2:1 by all the Ferrari stans justifying it’s legality and proclaiming “F1 is dead”

  9. So Ricciardo gets paid millions more than Hulk, and both have scored the same amount of points this season? Wow Renault, you are really spending your money wisely.
