Bogey Track? Maybe, but with Merc’s strategists, some nice driving (and maybe a tiny bit complaining 😉 from Lewis – nothing is impossible!

Perez too. Clinic on defending with a slower car; never giving up.

@dmw – Yes, he deserves a mention as well.
@ninjenius – Yes, but he’s driving overall was a bit too scrubby this time.

How about Verstappen? After all, he won the fan’s poll for driver of the day.
After all, the fans are always right…

Albon drove I solid race but I think he could have done better. He only finished 30s in front of Verstappen who limped an entire lap back to the pits after his puncture and had to overtake the entire field on one set of hard tyres. I really think a podium could have been possible from Albon’s position.

Boring race, no racing was possible in the last 3/4 of the race.
Was just ribbon-race. 2-3 second appart from eachother all that way.

Mercedes say its a boggy track. Win + third place.
Maybe they say this to throw off Ferrari. They totally messed up strategy yet again.
Meanwhile Lewis managed their strategic failure in to a great win.

It turns out Ferrari lost it on the undercut on the one-stopping car and misjudged the two stop. They didn’t have the race pace to just race back to Hamilton. Plus mistakes from the team and lecerc didn’t help. They just still don’t Quite have the whole package—-car, drivers, race management.

Better comment on VER race… cause you failed to tell the truth about the rest! Bottom line is Mercedes is the best car. Ferrari tried both strategies, none of them worked. They didn’t threw away anything. End of the story. Most likely you live under the impression that the order from Quali it’s a must in the race. False. There’s no doubt now that Mercedes is better in race trim than Quali. Actually, it’s the best car in race trim. There was nothing brilliant about HAM race, the Hards held up well for eveybody, for Mercedes even less of a worry since the Hards are like their fav tyres.

Hahaha as Insightful as ever MG1982. Suck it up son x if you cannot acknowledge Lewis great drive today there is less hope for you as an F1 fan than even I thought possible. Deal with your pain in silence please.

Verstappen and Ferrari threw away this race. Hamilton just sweeps up the win by outqualifying his teammate and keeping it on the road.

Doesn’t seem too wrong to me. Ferrari gifted Hamilton the win, which he gratefully and entirely competently accepted. It was a lot easier than if they hadn’t, and he’d had to fight for 2nd/3rd.

Ferrari threw away this race. They should have pitted Vettel right after Hamilton. Nonetheless, decent driving by all top 4.
DOTD for me is Ricciardo.

As always, Hamilton and Mercedes are ready to pounce when Ferrari screws up.
I’m quite surprised that Albon didn’t pit for a FLAP, wasn’t Verstappen 40 seconds away or so?

Rediculous, boring, deadly dull. The lawyers take Verstapen out, Ferrari prove that they are clueless, so Mercedes “win” — well not actually win my heart as a racing fan, but Toto proves that he’s got a higher IQ and can manage a big budget better than anybody from Maranello.
DeanR (@deanr)

The winner was decided on track rather than your “racing heart”.
VER had his opportunity wheel to wheel with Lewis. VERs arrogance is his downfall at the moment. This was proven yesterday and today in the first corner. He didn’t believe Lewis would have the audacity to out brake him and hang it around the outside. He showed it again with Bottas. Great three quarters of a move but his arrogance made him think Bottas would just shift. The boy is a massive talent but believing your hype when you have the wins and championships he does is a fatal error.

This comment is the one. I don’t think Verstappen is arrogant, because he has the skill. But it’s one thing to pull off those passes on the upper mid-pack, but that early on Lewis was always going to defend that line. I love his style of racing – but he can’t start believing that he can pull off any overtake he wants by being more willing to go deeper. That was Ricciardos angle at RB, and today he ended up with a flat spot in midpack today. He’s got the ruthless edge to be a champion – he has to be smarter.
BTW – as a marshal – I might be slightly biased because drivers not being prepared to deviate or stop under yellows is the hardest thing about motorsports for me!

Awesome, exciting, brilliantly great. The red mist takes Verstapen out, Ferrari prove that pace isn’t everything, and Mercedes win… ;-)

did you see the race? Lewis and Max fighting for turn 1 and both out of turn 2…? What red mist because he got a flattyre?

Just hope they can get those 2021 regs sorted because drivers need the chance to at least have a chance of an overtake if they are faster.
