What they say
Leclerc was asked why he lost so much time before his first pit stop at the Circuit of the Americas:
To be completely honest we don’t have a clear answer yet. The balance of the car was very, very strange in this particular set of tyre. To let you know the exact explanation. I don’t know.

Did Nico Hulkenberg deserve to land a place on the grid for next year?
I think Hulkenberg is overall a reasonable driver, but he still hasn’t managed a podium and I can see why Renault may want to try out a new driver.
But I think Hulkenberg should still be in one of the other teams. As odd as it is, I’m not sure if Haas should be one of them. If Haas have chosen the line-up they have, it very likely will be related to how long the drivers have been there. Grosjean has been there ever since the team has been in F1 and his feedback no matter what people think of it likely will still help. I would question them keeping Magnussen more as I think Grosjean has overall been better this year.
I get the feeling Williams are going to improve a bit next year so I think they should have replaced Kubica with Hulkenberg. Him versus Russell would be interesting.

Driving Macau in a simulator makes you sweat!. Huge respect for quick drivers in that track!

@joac21 Driving any track in a simulator can make on sweat. At least, for me, that is.

Re COTD: Yes, he should be in one of the other teams next season, but the 99% likelihood of him not returning to Williams isn’t really down to Williams, but more to him. If he earnestly attempted to get there, then he might’ve got a chance, but since he hasn’t, but instead has completely ruled that option out, he. of course, isn’t going to end up there.
