  1. This weekend there is no scheduling conflict with football. What is the weather going to be like this weekend?

    1. @Chaitanya For the moment, there’s a chance of rain for both qualifying and race day – 28 degrees forecasted for practice day followed by 20 and 21 for QLF and race day respectively.

      1. Thanks for info, so overall(hopefully) cooler weekends and we can certainly hope for a wet weekend to mix things up.

  2. There is a second Indycar race at Road America on Sunday night as well.

Early forecast predicts wet quali (90% chance of rain). Race day appears to be dry, but hoping for mixed conditions.

Yeah should be on at 17:30 in the UK (BST).

I wonder if F1 will adopt this approach moving forward if they are struggling to get their races in – IE instead of back to back weekends you practice on thursday, qualify Friday and race Saturday. Then either Quali Sunday AM or use a different means of setting the grid (say fastest laps in the race or something?) with a second race on the Sunday.

This could be the way forward if F1 gets stuck in Europe and is running out of weekends or humans as this is one punshing schedule at the moment – it could let the crews have some weekends off!

Its not something I’d like to see permentantly in F1 but IndyCar does it once per year with the “Duel in Detroit” back to back races following the Indy 500 – so theres scope to do it possibly as a particular event on the calendar.

    3. @t-a-r Thanks – both are in there now

  3. Shouldn’t the starting time be 14:10 instead of 14:00 ?

  4. Do they really need another 3 practice sessions?
