Mercedes’ new livery for the 2020 F1 season has been added in the latest patch released for the official Formula 1 game.
Codemasters have updated their model of the W11 in F1 2020 to reflect the new black livery Mercedes revealed on the eve of the new season. The revised colour scheme includes the statement ‘end racism’ on the car’s Halo. Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas’s race suits have also been updated in the patch. The updated livery is available in patch 1.06 which has been released for PC editions of the game. The new graphics will be added for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players in the coming days.
Mercedes revealed their new livery on June 29th, one-and-a-half weeks before F1 2020 went on sale. They were one of two teams to substantially change the look of their cars before the season began. Williams also revealed a new livery after splitting from previous title sponsor Rokit. Their revised colour scheme is already present in the game.
Other teams have made minor changes to their liveries since the season began to accommodate the branding of F1’s new anti-racism initiative ‘#WeRaceAsOne’.

Curious, can you switch between the silver and black Mercedes? Or between the Rokit Williams and the current Williams?

I very much doubt it – they’re usually pretty strict on anything livery related.

@ecwdanselby I can imagine the Rokit Williams logo being absolutely non-negotiable since they will in effect get free advertising (for what it is worth) at the expense of Sofina. Silver merc livery won’t have the same issues I wouldn’t think but I bet still unlikely as you state.

Ah, shame. They should put in the testing liveries. Like the Red Bull camo one, the black Renault, the heart logo Alfa Romeo, etc. Those were unexpectedly cool.

Sadly there is no mention in the patch of fixing the tyre bug (which has happened in previous editions).
Despite having used two compounds it tells you on the penultimate lap you haven’t and then disqualifies you. I race on 100%, it takes 3 hours to do a race weekend and then you’re disqualified and you never know whether it’ll happen. It’s just luck.
Even if it was 5 minute races it would get annoying at best. I’ll come back to it once the bug is fixed, but it’s not worth it at present.

Patch 1.05 published 6 days ago:
– Players will no longer be incorrectly disqualified for not using the mandatory tyres during a race

Hey, just a suggestion, what I have done is that just before the race start (in the grid) I enter to the strategy edit and then enter to the stint edits (where you change the pit stop and type of tyres) add a new stint and then remove it (the new one you just created), by doing this it changes the pit lap from the last stint to the last lap of the race and eliminate the issue and let me finish the races with no issue. I usually race at 25% and by doing this I cheat the system and let me race. Maybe you could try this one and fix it until they fix it in a patch. I also sent an email to codemasters explaning the issue and this solution and they told me that they are working on it…

As nice as this is, I’d probably be happier if Codemasters added Mugello , Imola and Algarve and gave us the extra tracks so that we can race the actual 2020 season as it happens.

@skydiverian Unfortunately I read somewhere (maybe Autosport but can’t remember) that seemed to indicate that the new tracks were not going to happen.
From a commercial perspective it makes sense as would be a colossal job for a very little return since you won’t use the tracks in any other year going forwards. Would be interesting to do it as chargeable DLC for those that want it however but not holding my breath on that.

I wish I had a PS4 to play this game which I do not.
