Luckily the midfield put some good work in! Bland race upfront…

Albon should’ve used the hard compound for his latter stint instead.

Yes. Still it only cost him one place.

If Lewis wins next 2 races he will take the all win record which is supposed to mark 1000th GP and in Italian teams backyard.

I half expected Vettel to say “this is a yoke!” after Raikkonen overtook him.

No B-strategies messing things up and surprise surprise, Kimi out-drives both Ferrari drivers. Serves them right.

As he breezed past Seb, he asked if he was interested in taking GIO’s seat for next year. Seb gave a nod……

Ferrari’s result is appalling.
I wonder what they think about Monza…

Verstappen very lucky to be on the podium. Another lap and he would have been toast to Ricciardo who IMO was driver of the day. Amusing to hear Bottas being told off and would have wanted him to be a bit of a rebel to make things more interesting. I think Bottas’ problem is that he’s not as close to Lewis as Rosberg was and hence can’t really argue his case as strongly. Nonetheless a strong 2nd place.

Yeah… BOT = tier2, ROS = tier2+ OR tier1-. BOT gave his win to HAM mid season, never to get it back. That’s not something ROS would have done for sure, unless he had no chance at the WDC and it was like 1-2 races more to go until the end of the champ. Anyway, BOT is such a nice guy that it deserves a fair chance at the WDC in the 4th year with the team. But, he was told to do something again because that was the order before the race started… and he responded he didn’t hear that order.

He’s obviously in the team purely to wrap up the WCC, help HAM and/or get the best place possible whenever HAM is behind. That’s all.

I wish I could understand what on earth you are trying to say @mg1982 ?
Bottas asked if he could use the highest power mode and was told that the drivers don’t use that mode against each other. This keeps things fair and makes sense as if Bottas uses it then Hamilton would respond and use it too. So there’s no gain there for Bottas.
Hamilton is just too good in that car. Bottas isn’t slow and I’d still pick him
before a number of the other drivers but I agree he isn’t as strong as Rosberg.
