I still don’t get the Saturday session timing changes from their original/traditional 14:00 & 17:00 timings.
Furthermore, FP3 changed again later, as the start time was initially 15:00, so 2h30min between the sessions rather than 2h, but as Abu Dhabi is a daylight-to-darkness event, having one floodlit session begin past the sunset feels wrong & hopefully, the traditional start times would return for next season or alternatively,
17:00/20:00 for both Friday & Saturday sessions so that three would have the daylight-to-darkness feature & no session would occur in the afternoon, which causes representativeness in the Middle East.
For the purpose of trying to find out the reasoning for this season’s changes, I contacted the circuit on Sprint day, but I’m yet to receive a reply, but hopefully, I’ll get one.
