Williams have announced the earliest date yet for a 2023 launch event, though it remains to be seen when their new car will be presented.
The team will hold a pre-season presentation, including a livery launch, on February 6th. It will be broadcast on their website and app.Having been the last-placed team in the constructors’ standings four times in the last five years, Williams are in the process of making several changes ahead of the 2023 season in an attempt to improve their form.
Among those to have left are team principal Jost Capito and technical director Francois-Xavier Demaison, whose replacements are yet to be announced. Driver Nicholas Latifi has also lost his seat after three seasons.
Latifi’s place has been taken by race-winning Formula 2 graduate Logan Sargeant. The 22-year-old, who is a product of Williams’ Racing Driver Academy, will be the United States’ first full-time F1 racer since 2006.
Sargeant will partner Alex Albon, who is embarking on his second season with Williams – and fourth season in F1 – having scored half of the team’s points last year.
The 2023 season will mark the 10th season that Williams have used Mercedes engines, and the partnership has resulted in 16 podiums so far. Williams have now gone 216 grands prix without a victory, the longest losing run in their 46-year history.
Testing for the new season will begin on February 23rd.

Livery launches are of no interest to me, Can’t wait to see the real cars though!

Yes, I think we can expect something similar to the last year: liveries over the FIA demonstration chassis.
At least this year they might not be so apart from the car on the first tests.

They no longer need to use the FIA demo chassis since they have their own 2022 chassis. And they will obviously use simplistic hidden-aero versions.

Agreed. I wonder if they have any sponsors left to present on the car though. Seems they’ve lost quite a few in the last month or so:
Sofina
Lavazza
Honibe
Virtua
Versa

You do realise the livery is probably going to be the most exciting part of the Williams (I’m sad to say).

I agree.

Doesn’t matter what they reveal as the livery, 80% of the car will end up as bare carbon if last season is anything to go by

How about they reveal who their team boss is going to be? Seems more urgent.

I really hope they’ve managed to bag a big sponsor over the summer break. Although their results for the last few years would make that difficult.

It seems like in some medias this is counted as real launch as well as this is listed as official launch in F1s list

Out of curiosity:
Would it be helpful to paint only the floor, like Audi did? Would this help in lowering the center of gravity?
It did look awesome on the Audi. A Turquoise coloured Mercedes W14 floor would be quite something.
