The fact McLaren is now 5th and ahead of the Alpines after this race 😬

How it should be based on the relative quality of their drivers.
Everyone knew that Ocon and Gasly world end in tears

Ocon and Gasly drove great races today – I’d say Gasly was level with (a hair better than?) Norris, and Ocon was comfortably better than Piastri.
It’s just bad luck that in trying to avoid the Sainz/Alonso collision and rejoin the track, Gasly’s speed difference to the pack caused an accident. You can’t watch their unlucky collision in the aftermath today and say it’s anything to do with the driver pairing or driver rivalry.

Oscar’s 3rd race no mistakes in a race of chaos? Very harsh comment Alex

@smallvizier oh, I do totally agree that today’s collision could not really be blamed on either Alpine driver. But in general, I do not consider either Ocon or Gasly to be in the same league as Norris, who is only down where he is due to the McLaren just not being good enough. Given that when Ricciardo went to McLaren, many believed that he would end Norris’s career, and yet there Ricciardo was, being lapped at Monaco. A driver who many on here still claim is better than Verstappen having his remaining contract paid off so he could be replaced.
Ocon has clashed with every team mate he’s ever had, and Gasly has been lucky to rehabilitate his reputation after the time he spent as Verstappen’s team mate.

Is Hulk above Leclerc because he finished (though out of points) previous races where Charles DNF?
