It’s a special event for Albon’s team mate Logan Sargeant, as he’s racing in his home state of Florida. “I’ve watched endless games in the stadium so to be able to race around it, to have the hospitalities set up inside the stadium is pretty cool,” he said on Thursday.

Lewis Hamilton’s chosen helmet isn’t new but it is significant. He criticised laws passed in Florida last year which discriminate against the LBGTQ+ community, and spoke out against the legislation when asked about it by RaceFans on Thursday.

“I have read about some of the decisions that have been made in government here, and I do not agree with it and I do not support it,” said Hamilton, “and I really do continue to stand with the LGBTQ community.

“I continue to wear the rainbow flag on my helmet this weekend. And I just really want to continue to support the community here and let them know that I stand with them.”

  1. All event-specific designs are good, but Sargeant’s is my outright favorite, followed by Gasly & Albon.

  2. Really like both Norris and Albons’ designs.

Hulk, Leclerc designs are solid too. And Yukis helmet pattern stays nice even in different colours.

Not sure the rest is special, although I am really glad Hamilton is clear about his helmet and views on the new local anti LGBTQ laws and attitude.

  3. But why?

    1. Wondered the same thing. Are they being asked to do this to promote the race? Maybe I’m just completely out of the loop, but I don’t see what’s so special about Miami otherwise that would encourage so many divers to make a special helmet design for it.

Hopefully these will be of some use when they’re inevitably auctioned for a charity. Can’t complain about that!

        I can !
That Bozo guy and Elton Muscrat should get in a bidding war to buy them all. (All money going to charity, probably tax deductible anyway.)
        Make their incursion valuable.
Then donate them back to be given to charity or auctioned off again.

  4. Plenty of the usual virtue signalling going on here.
    I like Hulks ;)

    1. lol what. Golf balls beach balls and Miami vice?

      1. And not one with Dustin Hoffman or Jon Voight. Or even like an orange. So not cool.😎

  5. I’m digging the pot leaves on Tsunoda’s helmet. Right on.

    1. Whoa by my reply above I must have been licking Yuki’s or making cookies out of it.
My favourite is Max’s with the Terminator bionic eye.
      It is there isn’t it.
