A hectic Q1 with lap times coming & getting invalidated constantly.
A lackluster Checo again.
Sainz was surprisingly slow as were stewards with invalidating Norris’ final lap despite being a clear-cut case immediately.

Hamilton P3 now, lol.

Verstappen P1, Perez P13.
It’s on a knife edge. Can Max secure those 3 points tomorrow? The tension is palpable. What a season.

He doesn’t need 3 points, but merely a lead of 172 points or more, so anything from gap reducing by 5 points at maximum to staying unchanged or imcreasing further would be enough.

@jerejj I fully expect Perez to be out of the race by lap three.

@alfa145 True (shamefaced!) I’m really not paying much attention this weekend, the season feels over already.

This qualifying session says a lot about this season.
Red Bull/Max is the strongest package, and their strongest opposition always find a way to shoot themselves on the foot.

Did the McLaren boys cook their own goose at the same corner? handing Merc a free step up the grid.
