Max Verstappen is rated higher than ever before in the new edition of the official Formula 1 game.
The reigning world champion has a performance score of 96 out of a possible 100 in F1 24, which is four points higher than any of his 19 competitors. Fernando Alonso is rated as the second-best driver on 92, with no other driver scored in the nineties.Verstappen became an ambassador for F1 24 publish EA Sports at the beginning of last year. In-season updates have previously lifted his score as high as 96 but this is the first time he has been scored this high at the launch of a new game.
It is the third year in a row Verstappen has been the sole highest-rated driver at the launch of the latest edition of the official F1 game. He and Lewis Hamilton had equal-highest scores of 95 and 94 respectively for the launch editions of F1 2021 and F1 22, but the seven-times world champion now has a score of 89.
All drivers have scores of at least 80 except Logan Sargeant, whose score is 70. This is one point lower than last year, when he made his debut, and the lowest since Zhou Guanyu had the same score in F1 22.

Well, if you’re coming from the most dominant season in F1 history that was to be expected.

I love formula 1 driver ratings, you can only ever be as good as your car allows.

How many wins and championships does Russell have?

And how does that have any relevance for the rating over one season??

Why is Bottas the top rated driver for Awareness?? In what universe does that make any sense? I wasn’t even aware he was still in the majority of races last year…

@joeypropane
It makes total sense. It is related to being aware of what is around you and avoiding being at fault for contact or incidents, which bottas virtually never is. And I would say that he is certainly better at this than any other driver.
That said, he is only rated above Sargeant for racecraft, which if I’m honest is fairly accurate. I would probably rate him a few places higher, but not by much.
Bottas is a very clean, aware and cautious driver, which makes his scores make sense.

I think this is about his awareness, not yours. ;)
Awareness is probably how risk-avoidant a driver is. Bottas always shies away from fights.
By the way, why is the title of the graph Brazilian Grand Prix fastest lap times?

Awareness Alonso 81, Hamilton 92? Seems quite off.

In some areas, I actually would say Hamilton’s awareness in incredibly low. Such as not being aware that he should push on his outlap unless the team told him to. He jad also has a few slightly silly incidents in the past couple of seasons. I would say his awareness should number should be lower than this.

Alonso did brake test George recently and made contact with is teammate (Stroll), so he too has had a lot of silly contact. I tend to think his racecraft gets overrated. But TBF, which driver hasn’t made silly contacts? – apart from Verstappen who is in a car that allows him to disappear up the road by 30s and therefore avoid the need to fight anyone. As for awareness, Alonso incorrectly thought he was driving in the points in Monaco. lol!

Don’t read too much into it. I always felt that ‘awareness’ was used to get to the desired overall-score. So for instance the game rates Alonso very high on experience (duh) and racecraft. But then ‘awareness’ is set low, otherwise Alonso’s overall score would be too high.
