  1. Gotta be Max. He made the difference once again. Great job by Lando but ultimately, not enough to pip Max. Good to see Lewis back.

    1. + 1 Same from here.

  2. Gotta be Lando. He made the difference once again. Great job by Max, but ultimately, not enough to pip Lando.

  3. Max is totally deserving of DOTW/D, but I’m voting Norris simply because he took pole and has worked so hard today.

  4. Gotta be Lando. He made the difference once again. Great job by Lando, but ultimately, not enough to pip Lando.

    1. I vote for LH every time …

‘pip’ left, right, and centre these days ;)

  5. If it weren’t for Norris, there would be no race. Credit to him for at least making this an exciting show.

  6. I don’t think anyone did anything special. But, honorable mention to Gasly for leading Alpine in qualifying and then into the points, thus taking a rare opportunity and making the most of it.

    1. But Gasly had the lighter chassis… (according to mr. Ocon)

      1. Mr.nice guy always has an excuse.

  7. Unpopular opinion: Sargeant or Ricciardo. They had results significantly better than their cars seemed to have in them. Norris did well but finished second in the second or possibly best car. You could equally pick Hamilton on the same basis as Norris.

    1. Since I assume you’re being sarcastic due to citing Sargeant, what is your argument that DR had a bad race?

  8. Sorry guys, it was Gasly. That Alpine has been dire all season and is starting to come good. When it mattered, he bettered Ocon in quali and the race to bag good points for the team that could be decisive in the battle for 6th/7th in the championship.

    1. I thought Gasly was fantastic on Saturday, but his Sunday was alright. He slipped back and then made his way forward later on in the race to stay in the top 8. I think a sub standard Perez made him look better than he performed on Sunday
I had to give it to Max this weekend. The McLaren had the pace to beat Red bull, yet Max always finds a way during crucial moments to secure a win and make it look easier than it is.

    2. If you take only Saterday in mind it would Gasly, Lando and Max. Over the whole weekend i went for Max with Lando and Gasly just behind him.

  9. Not a fan of Lando but he was very close to Max, who clearly still has a car in another league.

    1. Did you even watch the race?

  10. Norris has to cut down on the mistakes he makes or else opportunities will go as fast as they come. Solid drive from Verstappen on Sunday despite the car not having the outright pace on Saturday.

  11. No one was particularly special, but Max I guess. It’s always just so hard to know how well he’s doing when his teammate is just so utterly pathetic.
