  1. Wow. That’s quit a surprise! Mercedes 1 & 2. Things become really spicy this season now. It’s what we all want right. Can’t wait for tommorow.

    1. I’d love to see Lewis get a win but I’d probably love to see a title battle to the final race even more lol so I won’t mind if Norris can string together some wins. If max gets caught in the tight battle behind, we could be on for a great end to the season

      1. Barcelona 2016 comes to mind..
Two mercs fighting for the win.
        Lewis has some history..

        1. Imagine blaming Lewis for that when he was going like 40 kps quicker because Nico messed his battery up. Now USA that time i agree he has previous but catalunya was Nico fault

          1. They were both to blame. Nico shut the door on him and Lewis was being overly aggressive trying to get by there.

  2. What happened at AM again? Alonso looked so quick the whole weekend.

    1. Way for Aston Martin to make Stroll had enough time to make the flag, but not Alonso for his Q3 lap on his only set of new tires. I don’t get why these teams wouldn’t rather make sure they actually have time to do a clean prep lap and make the flag rather than this is insanity where they’re dicing on their prep lap.

      1. make sure*

    2. Look at the onboard for his out lap. It was utterly ridiculous. He was 7 tenths ahead of Stroll and they made sure he got a lap, but not Alonso. He was literally trying to race Sainz on the out lap to be able to cross the line in time. He started his lap so close to Sainz it was obviously impossible and by the third corner he aborted.

  3. Tough day for Ferrari, especially considering the now seemingly permanent steps made by McLaren and Mercedes. They’re looking to be the fourth fastest team, and that’s on a good day! Time for a serious review and reconsideration.

A British 1,2,3 at Silverstone. Bet that makes for a happy crowd.

Now we wait to see what Mercedes have got for tomorrow, I’ve got a feeling McLaren & Max should have a faster race car but they’ve got to get past the Mercs first to show it.

    1. Max must have been carrying some damage from that trip through the gravel.

      1. He was – significant damage, was what the team said.
Fix that though and he will be fighting tomorrow.

        1. I’m afraid not.

JK. I’m sure it’ll be a great fight.

        2. Do parc ferme rules allow these sort of repairs or would there be a penalty?

          1. You can make repairs under parc ferme, but everything must be like-for-like, including setup obviously.

    2. Unfortunately for the home fans I expect Norris and Verstappen to deal with Mercedes pretty quickly. Norris’ race to lose. In a clean race I expect Hamilton to get by Russell but both will be hard pressed to keep Piastri off the podium.

      1. I expect lewis to crash into russell. Barcelona 2016 all over again…

        1. I expect Verstappen trying to crash out Norris again. Or Hamilton. He is unable to drive professionelly under pressure.

          1. And I expect you to complain about Verstappen after the race, next race, and the whole season LOL

        2. I’m expecting a Norris-Russell-Max wipeout and I have no idea who will be at fault. For some reason I feel like Max will be least likely to be the primary cause this time if it does happen.

          1. If there is a Norris Russel Max wipeout, I expect someone will still manage to blame Hamilton.

        3. You and MadMax need to chill on your unhealthy hostility toward Lewis and Max. It’s childish.

haas infront of the two Ferraris !!!

  6. Whoa. Didn’t see a Mercedes front row lockout. Gonna be an interesting one tomorrow.

    1. I just hope there’s no red flag at turn 1. It’s silly when they have to restart the race from qualifying positions with a grid start, just because it got red flagged before reaching sector 2. Very silly especially when there’s mini sectors. Seems more like an excuse to have another grid start. Fine but just so it with the position changes included
