LEC for both DOTW & DOTD honor.

Norris deserves a mention for that superb qualifying. Piastri for taking the lead in the first lap. Sainz made a good call, but Leclerc brought home that victory.
And McLaren really should get a grip on their strategic thinking or they can lose the constructors championship to Ferrari of all people.

Oh, I should have mentioned Colapinto – his first race in a Williams and finishes in 12th not too far away from Albon!

I was all set to give it to George as he missed almost all of Friday’s practice yet still stuck it into third in Qually.
But I have gone with Charles for a balanced weekend overall and a masterful control of his tyres.
Franco Colapinto deserves a major pat on the back for his first outing as well.

Leclerc, of course. Honorable mention to colapinto, well driven in the race, and had he a bit more luck yesterday, maybe he would also have scored points?

Perhaps Mclaren overestimated their speed. Perhaps a bit of immaturity from Oscar about Pirelli tyres. Perhaps it was Tifosi power for Charles, who gets the vote for the driver of the weekend. He is certainly having a solid run post the summer break.

Leclerc – I can see this being one of the most one-sided votes the site has ever had.

Leclerc, easiest choice of the season, a proper ‘tyre whisperer’ (to quote George Russell).

It seems K-Mag has a lot of supporters!!

That 5% is likely one vote, but he did put in a great performance.

Absolutely, MAG and COL both did brilliantly.
Kev for lots of entertaining passes (except for one … “racing incident”) and Franco for bringing it home in one piece not too far from the points.
Well done those drivers.

Piastri, he has already become the nr.1 McLaren driver, Norris chances, not helped by the team, have come and gone… Norris is too soft, like D.Hill, Coulthard, Bottas, etc. Charles lucked into a forced, well-performed, one-stop strategy.

Norris is done as a driver – I don’t think he can get back on track and fight anyone for position. He’s way too soft.

Leclerc drove very well throughout the race. Hustling the McLarens in the first half and then stretching his tyres out in the second part of the race. A worthy winner of DOTW and DOTD
Russel was bemoaning the lack of spare parts Mercedes have and then destroys a front wing weaving through bollards. So that’s my “not” DOTD, with Stroll picking up the “not” DOTW

Piastri knows that Lando will do anything to avoid a crash and he’s been squeezing him like a lemon.
If I were Norris, I would not give Piastri an inch ever again.

0% votes for Norris with 50 votes – he’s lost every fan’s respect today as a racer.

+1 If I were LN I wouldn’t even give him the time of day – driving for the win was earned by Norris in qually, and the treachery shown by Piastri jumping LN like that when he wasn’t even expecting him to do that speaks volumes.
Shame on you Zac Brown and to blazes with your Papaya Rules ! From now on Norris should be saying Rules ! what rules ?
As for Hungary, he should have said NO when he was asked to hand Piastri the win, because that gave Piastri the platform to keep them on a week by week basis.

Leclerc has done an excelent job today. Very solid performance by Piastri. Albon did an amazing job and what a start to F1 carreer by Colapinto. Bottas is putting the Kick where it really shouldn’t be seen. So many great performances and yet I would give DOT to KMAG. Aggresive when he should have been, saved tyres when it was necessary. If it weren’t for the ban for next race, this would be his most highly rated race this year.
Also shame for Hulk, Zhou, Perez, Alpines and Toro Rosso sucked, Sainz, Max, Astons and Mercs were nowhere and Lando bottled it again

I went Piastri. In hindsight I’m thinking I maybe should have gone Colapinto, and definitely being made to feel guilty for not really shortlisting Leclerc. Whilst he was a worthy winner, I got the feeling (perhaps mistakenly) that the team decided the strategy. And whilst there is no doubt he executed it fantastically, would he have been getting the same number of votes had it not quite worked even if he drove to the same standard? Sorry. Probably overthinking it, though as Team of the Weekend I’d definitely agree on Ferrari.
As others have noted though, there were a number of great performances. Indeed KMag did some of the things that will actually make me miss him. Imagine a whole field of Kmags.
