Haas will introduce a significant update for its VF-24 at this weekend’s United States Grand Prix, where it will also use a special livery.

Technical director Andrea De Zorzo described the team’s upgrade package as “our main update for the final part of the season.”

The four-week break since the last race has given all teams the opportunity to press ahead with work on their cars and most are expected to introduce new parts this weekend. De Zorzo says Haas’ upgrade “will mainly involve another step of development in the floor and bodywork.”

“The target, as always, will be to improve aero load in order to make the car faster,” he said. “It’s difficult to be making a big step in lap time, so we’re speaking about small numbers, but in the tight midfield fight everything is an important step, and we hope to deliver.

“This is a development and further evolution of our package, not something new although the car will look a bit different.”

The team lies three points off sixth place in the constructors’ championship with six rounds remaining. Half of those, including this weekend’s, are sprint events which offer extra points. “Last year we didn’t score a point but it was a decent race for us and I think it should be a good race for us again,” said De Zorzo.

As it did last year, Haas is also marking its home race with some changes to its livery, including eagle motifs on the VF-24’s sidepods.

The car will also sport the logos of the team’s new technical partner Toyota Gazoo Racing on its nose, the back of its rear wing and inside its endplates. The tie-up between the two was announced last week.

  1. Why oh, Why can’t Haas keep this really nice livery on the car instead of being only a “one off”. This looks so much better than their usual brand boring livery.

Good luck with the update, keep it going.

      Haas front running car complete.

  2. Is it really their home race if their main office locations are in Maranello and the UK?

  3. This looks really sharp!

  4. I quite like this particular livery tweak.
