  1. if history is anything to go by Russell will end up in 4th to 6th place and Hamilton might make it up to 7th. If Russell has a problem, expect Hamilton to have to pit in favor of his teammate. Expect both Ferraris to overtake Mercedes and Gasley, and Verstappen to close down and overtake Russell by the first pitstop.

Ferrari 1-X, Max somewhere in between, or there after. Not sure what McLaren are doing, looks like a bogey track for them still maybe.

    1. Expect Mercedes to fall off further as the track rubbers up, during the race, per Toto Wolff.

Again, if history is to repeat itself, Russell will just let himself fall back until Hamilton catches him (if he can) and stay in front of Hamilton. If this is what happens, they will have not gained anything the whole year in terms of performance against the other teams.

Great rive bby Russel. Still worthy of the Mr. Saturday nickname, I suppose.

I’ll repeat I think Colapinto is not a Keeper anymore. ;-)
But he did put pressure on Albon, who cracked again and made a stupid mistake.
Vowles has got to sort things there, this is costing the team way too much money that spent better elsewhere.

Ditch Perez please. The guy is an anomaly.

Verstappen ahead of Norris. But if the rearwing story is true, that might still change in the race.

    1. Ironic, now they have 2 drivers crashing instead of one.

  3. Gasly’s #3 position on the grid shows just how poor the grip is on the circuit, that they are literally in mixed conditions out there and not able to adequately load their tires, to the point of achieving peak grip for the motors to fully realize their potential.

After seeing all the dust on the tires, its pretty clear this race should be considered mixed conditions, low tire performance due to temps, and lower loads due to the caking of the compound from the dust on the circuit.

  4. Ok, so I’ve been right all season and completely wrong yesterday. Hamilton is gone, done, it’s over. He just can’t cope with any amount of pressure. When it matters he’s making more errors than a rookie or his pace is dreadful.

I tried giving him the benefit of the doubt but it’s completely on him.

  5. Hamilton still has the speed; his Q2 lap was good enough for third place, but whatever is happening with his Q3s better not happen next year, or he’ll face the bad side of being a Ferrari driver pretty quickly.
