The Las Vegas Grand Prix is undoubtedly the most special event of the year to Formula 1 itself, given that FOM is the promotor, and even after the novelty of the inaugural event last year has gone, teams and drivers still seem eager to celebrate the newest round on the calendar.

A city that has become iconic over the decades for its casinos, celebrities and entertainment culture, there are so many symbols of Las Vegas that drivers can incorporate into their helmet designs.

Unsurprisingly, many of them have chosen to do exactly that. But while there may be fewer than last year, there are still plenty of special Las Vegas Grand Prix helmet designs throughout the pit lane this weekend.

Lando Norris’s Las Vegas Grand Prix helmet

At first glance, it might be difficult to tell what is different about Norris’s design for Las Vegas. However, the black and fluorescent yellow of his normal design have been inverted, making its colours stand out more clearly under the night lights.

Carlos Sainz Jnr’s Las Vegas Grand Prix helmet

Carlos Sainz Jnr’s helmet is not drastically different to his usual design. But looking closely reveals some obvious elements along the bottom of his helmet that are unique to this event.

Rather than playing cards or other casino iconography, Sainz seems to instead be celebrating the desert state of Nevada that Las Vegas is found in, which the cacti and rocky hills of his design are obvious nods to.

As with his team mate’s design, Charles Leclerc has a more subtle update to his lid this weekend, incorporating some key Vegas motifs.

Oscar Piastri’s Las Vegas Grand Prix helmet

Previously revealed and used for the United States Grand Prix weekend last month, Piastri’s dual design helmet is back for Las Vegas.

After one side represented Austin and the race around the Circuit of the Americas – held in the day time – this weekend’s round in Las Vegas is represented by the other side with its night time theming.

Fernando Alonso’s Las Vegas Grand Prix helmet

While some drivers are incorporating symbols of Las Vegas or American culture in their designs this weekend, Fernando Alonso is celebrating Aston Martin title sponsors Aramco with this design in the company’s colours.

It’s been well established that Esteban Ocon has an appreciation for comic book culture, having raced with a Deadpool design at the Belgian Grand Prix. This weekend, Ocon is back with the Marvel theme with this Captain America-inspired design.

Yuki Tsunoda’s Las Vegas Grand Prix helmet

RB is running a ‘glitter’ livery design this weekend and Yuki Tsunoda is getting into the spirit as well with his helmet design featuring a glittery furry creature on the crown.

Liam Lawson’s Las Vegas Grand Prix helmet

Liam Lawson's 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix helmet design

While still technically a rookie as a driver, Liam Lawson is finally making his long-awaited debut in the special helmet design game in Las Vegas.

There’s no doubting that this is a Las Vegas helmet either, with the playing card and roulette wheel motifs. Like his team mate, he’s added a lot of glitter to it to help keep the branding consistent this weekend.

Alexander Albon’s Las Vegas Grand Prix helmet

Another driver who is fond of a unique helmet design, Alexander Albon’s Vegas look is perhaps more subtle than most of his rivals, incorporating the Vegas imagery against deep blues.
