    1. You mean DRS train

  1. A straightforward apart from lap 1, with barely any overtaking or even attempts.

  2. Drab drab drab.
The main fun was seeing just how little Perez cares any more.

    1. He’s been told his out, surely

  3. COTD: I’m not here to win sprintraces :-)
Couldn’t agree more, let’s get rid of them!

  4. Pretty standard sprint race, but kudos to George and Oscar, Charles and Lewis for providing a little bit of action. The Charles/Lewis side-by-side sequence was particularly fun – good clean racing. I gave it a slightly generous 4/10 because of that.

    1. LOL. It’s a shame George couldn’t make the overtake stick, even with DRS.

  5. Cannot build respect for George when the bloke keeps whining like that on the radio

  6. I gave it a 2. +1 point for Norris saying “I am not here to win sprint races, I am here to win races.” Good lad.

    1. Echoing Verstappen but I don’t ever see him handing a victory to Pérez. If you have so much disdain for the format, allow the reserve driver to compete instead. It does however back up those of us opposed to sprints if even the drivers (and winners) despise them.

Good point, would have made it more interesting to watch as the WDC is already decided.

  7. 1. Poor race and Norris handing the victory to Piastri felt like an insult to anyone following Formula 1.

    1. @david-br actually, although I was initially shouting at the television thinking that McLaren had ordered it, thinking about it some more it makes total sense: Norris benefitted from the swap with Piastri in the Brazil Sprint, this way, he can point out that they’re even if there is a situation next season where Norris might be asked to move aside for Piastri

  8. Why are we still doing this?

  9. What a waste of petrol……

    1. It kind of detracts from F1 “sustainability goals.”
It is definitely a waste of petrol.

    2. @stever Less petrol than used in a standard weekend with 3 practice sessions.

  10. Red Bull should be fined as they broke the spirit of racing rule by just running tests with one of their cars from start to finish.

    1. @jimfromus to be fair, they’re breaking that anyway by continuing to employ Pérez
